Membership & Access Help

Wondering what you can access, how plans differ, or how to manage your membership? This guide explains everything you need to know about free, trial, and paid plans, as well as team and enterprise options.

Freemium (Lite Plan)

Our Freemium plan gives you partial access to StartupDevKit’s ecosystem so you can explore before committing. It’s perfect for early discovery and self-paced learning.

  • Access to the first half of each Resource Library page
  • Preview of each course (first lessons of both Incubator & Accelerator)
  • Access to public forum discussions
  • Ability to upgrade anytime without losing progress

Free Trial Access

When you start a free trial of either program, you’ll unlock the full platform experience for 14 days — including complete Resource Library access and the early lessons of your chosen course.

  • Incubator Free Trial: First five lessons of the Idea Validation course
  • Accelerator Free Trial: First six lessons of the Accelerator course
  • Full access to the Resource Library and community forums

Your progress during the trial is automatically saved, so when you upgrade to a paid plan, you can pick up right where you left off.

Paid Memberships

Paid members enjoy unrestricted access to their program’s courses and the entire Resource Library. You’ll also receive exclusive content, ongoing updates, and the option to add mentoring for hands-on guidance.

  • Incubator: Idea Validation, MVP Building, and Bootstrapping courses
  • Accelerator: 3-Month Accelerator, Product-Led MVP, and Bootstrapping courses
  • Full access to every Resource Library page and curated toolset
  • Community access to Incubator or Accelerator-specific forums

Team Accounts

Team memberships make collaboration simple. Each plan includes four total accounts — one parent account and three child accounts for teammates.

  • The parent account manages billing and access
  • Each teammate signs up using a sponsorship code from the parent account
  • All team members share access to the same program and forum

Enterprise & Institutional Plans

Universities, accelerators, and venture firms can get customized access packages for their cohorts or portfolio companies. These plans offer scalable seats, private forum spaces, and optional group mentoring.

Managing Your Membership

Need to update, cancel, or switch plans? It’s easy to manage your subscription directly from your dashboard.

  • To manage or cancel: Go to the top menu → AccountManage Membership
  • No email is required for program cancellations
  • Mentoring cancellations must be requested via email since it’s handled in a separate Stripe portal

Upgrades & Downgrades

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime. Changes apply immediately, and prorated credits (if any) will reflect on your next invoice.

Refund Policy

Refunds are available within 21 days for members who joined without a free trial. No refunds are available for those who started with a trial. Mentoring sessions are non-refundable, though credits may apply in specific rescheduling cases.

Access Troubleshooting

If a lesson or page is locked unexpectedly:

  • Confirm your plan includes that content
  • Make sure your trial hasn’t expired
  • Log out and back in to refresh access tokens
  • Still stuck? Post in the forums or email [email protected]
